As an expression of its commitment to the development of outstanding talent in the natural science and engineering fields, the GENERAL ELECTRIC Foundation. has established a scholarship program in Korea which is being administered by the Korean-American Educational Commission in cooperation with the Institute of International Education (IIE).
 

Eligibility

 
1. Korean citizenship
2. enrollment in the second year of study at an approved college or university and majoring in an eligible field of study by the beginning of 2008 academic year
3. a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, 3.375/4.5 or better grade point average for all completed undergraduate study
 
Documentation
 
1. application form (original +5 photocopies)
2. personal statement (original + 5 photocopies)
3. three letters of recommendation from permanent faculty members of the applicant's institution
(All the above three forms are downloadable at www.fulbright.or.kr. One recommendation can be obtained from applicant¡¯s high school teacher.)
4. college or university transcripts (1 copy)
5. evidence of enrollment at a college or university
6. high school transcript (1 copy)
 
Letters of recommendation must be sent directly to the KAEC office by the individuals responsible for providing this information. Recommendation letters delivered by the applicant will not be accepted.
